Family History

Anne Louisa Higgins Smith was born on October 4, 1856 in Arkansas to parents John Allen and Bettie Chinn Webb Higgins. For her formal education, she attended Sayre Female Institute in Lexington, Kentucky, along with all of her sisters. She married Joseph Granville Smith and together they had a daughter named Mamie. She passed away at the age of 86 in Dallas, Texas. She is buried in that city in the Oakland Cemetery.
