Family History

This home was built by William Atchison, father of David Rice Atchison. It has been torn down, but was located at Kirklevington. It is believed that the house was built on land that originally belonged to Alexander and Mary Atchison, immigrants to Kentucky.

This photo shows the exterior detailing of a house built by Hamilton Atchison Headley, son of Malinda Atchison and James Headley. Hamilton married Sallie Ann Farra, sister to Margaret Farra Headley Bryan. 

This clipping is about land that was most likely a part of the original Atchison land. One of Alexander and Mary's daughters married a Clark, and it was likely those descendants who sold the land.
