Family History

Charles William Huber was born on December 20, 1872 in Laurelville, Ohio. On February 6, 1892 he married Alice Adara Stump and together they would have four daughters, including Ethel Lucille Huber Schubert. Charles passed away on May 12, 1936 at the age of 63. He is buried in the Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Galloway, Ohio. 

An interesting fact about Charles is that on the 1920 census he listed his occupation as a salesman at a candy factory.

Florence May Huber was born on June 28, 1892 in Circleville, Ohio to parents Charles William Huber and Alice Adara Stump Huber. On June 26, 1919, she married Fred Lehman. Together Florence and Fred would have two daughters, Miriam and Carol. Florence passed away on June 23, 1962 in Columbus, Ohio at the age of 69. 

She is shown here in 1910, at age 18.

Shown here from left to right are Florence Huber Lehman, Fred Lehman, and Ethel Huber Schubert. Florence and Ethel were sisters, both the daughters of Charles and Alice Huber. Fred was Florence's husband. He was born on September 1, 1888 and married Florence on June 26, 1919. Together they would have two daughters, Miriam and Carol, before he passed away on February 14, 1969 at the age of 80. 

This photo dates to the late 1910s or early 1920s.

Lillian Bell Huber was born on February 14, 1898 to parents Charles William Huber and Alice Adara Stump Huber. She was the youngest of the couple's four children, all daughters. She married Hartford L. Batteiger, and together the couple would have two children, Louis and Irene. Lillian passed away in September of 1985 at the age of 87. She is buried in Galloway, Ohio.

An interesting fact about Lillian is before her marriage, she worked at a department store, wrapping items that customers purchased. She is shown here in the 1910s.

Shown here are three of the four daughters of Charles William and Alice Adara Stump Huber. Hazel (either far right or left) was born on April 16, 1896 in Ohio. Around 1920, she was working as a clerk at the dry cleaners, probably before her first marriage. She was married twice and passed away during the 1970s.

Shown here is Carol Lehman, the younger daughter of Florence and Fred Lehman. Carol was born in 1926, and though this photo is undated, it probably is from the late 1920s or early 1930s.
