Susanna Garr
Susanna Garr was born on February 3, 1784 in Culpepper, Virginia to parents John and Margaretha Wilhoit Garr. On June 18, 1812, Susanna married her first cousin Jacob Gaar. Together they would have seven sons. Susanna passed away on July 7, 1864 in Jefferson County, Kentucky.
Elizabeth Virginia Garr Mathis
Elizabeth Virgina Garr was born on April 27, 1857 in Shelby County, Kentucky to parents Benjamin Louis Garr and Kazia Russell Garr. She was the oldest of four children for the couple, which also included Charles Russell Garr, Mary Margaret Garr Blakenbaker, and Nathaniel Lee Garr. On October 1, 1884, Elizabeth married Charles Hopkins Mathis. She passed away at the age of 32 in 1889.
Mary Margaret "Mollie" Garr Blakenbaker
Mary Margaret "Mollie" Garr was born on January 10, 1861 in Spencer County, Kentucky to parents Benjamin Louis and Kazia Russell Garr. She was the third child for the couple, joining older sister Elizabeth Virginia and Charles Russell. A few years later, a younger brother named Nathaniel Lee would join the family as well. On March 4, 1886, Mollie married William Clifton Blakenbaker. Together the couple would have six children: Lewis Fielding, Nathaniel Lee, Lena Bawley, Mary Margaret "Minnie," Samuel, and Aleene. Mollie passed away in 1908 at the age of 47, and she is buried in Cave Hill Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.
William Clifton Blakenbaker
William Clifton Blakebaker was born on January 24, 1864 in Louisville, Kentucky. On March 4, 1886, he married Mary Margaret "Mollie" Garr. Together they had six children. William passed away on January 29, 1908.
Mary Margaret "Minnie" Blakenbaker
Mary Margaret "Minnie" Blakenbaker was born in 1890 to parents William Clifton and Mary Margaret "Mollie" Garr Blakenbaker.
Nathaniel Lee Garr
Nathaniel Lee Garr was born May 16, 1866 to parents Benjamin Louis and Kazia Russell Garr. He was the fourth and final child for the couple, joining siblings Elizabeth Virginia, Charles Russell, and Mary Margaret "Mollie." On June 12, 1889 he married Lena Bawley and together the couple had two children, Lovell Russell Garr and Turner Mathis Garr. Nathaniel passed away in 1934 at the age of 68 and he is buried in Monte Vista, Colorado.
