Family History

Though this picture is undated, it is likely it was taken sometime during the 1880s, probably not long before Joseph passed away in 1890 at the age of 30. Before he tragically died in a carriage accident, he worked as a clerk in the office of his father James Alexander Headley, the Circuit Clerk in Lexington, Kentucky.

Joseph Carter Headley is the man seated to the far left of this picture. He is shown with a group of unidentified companions. This photo is undated, but likely from sometime in the late 1870s or early 1880s.
