Richard Allen Will
This is the first page of the will of Richard Allen, the father of Sally Allen Higgins. In his will he leaves his land and slaves to his wife for her to use for the rest of her widowhood, if she remarried, she forfeited this inheritance. Richard also leaves some land and slaves to two of his granddsons, Madison and Richard Allen. At the end of his will, he does mention freeing some slaves, if they pay a certain amount of money.
The will is not dated as to when it was written, but it was proved in 1824.
